Vintage Flower Sellers’ NO SEW Junk Journal

Junk journaling (aka, my new favorite thing).

I’ve recently found joy creating junk journals and I love the endless variety of ways they can be created and constructed. This special 22 page journal was created using the Vintage Flower Sellers’ printable kit by Kelly’s Crafts by Kelly on Etsy. I also used lots of recycled materials and odds and ends to bring it to life.

New York City has the most famous skyline in the world. When one of my Facebook followers recommended a city/skyline pattern for this week’s Friday Freebie, I knew just what to make. Hope you have as much fun stitching this one as I did making it.

This piece will be about 11.25 x 17.25 inches, based on an 18 count fabric (308×204 stitches). The chart also includes a list of the DMC floss needed for the project.

Fabric Blocks – the Wave of the Future!

Cross-stitching, embroidering, quilting – all great, wonderful craft options. They are very time consuming, however, and I always have a dozen or so cross-stitch patterns in my hopper. I make my own here at Bella Stitchery, and have several here in my Etsy shop under the “Fabric Block” category. I can also custom print designs or images for you as well. Fabric blocks are great to frame and hang as-is, or you can personalize them with your own special embroidery and embellishment. The sky is the limit!

Friday Freebie – Vintage Pumpkin Patch Cross-Stitch Pattern Download

Welcome to my Bella Stitchery blog, and I am so happy to give you today’s freebie pattern!

I made it just last night with the help of a Vintage Thanksgiving illustration, Photoshop, my cross-stitch software, and some late-night coffee (love the Caramel Brulée Latte from Starbucks).

Simply click here to download the pattern, complete with DMC floss requirements. All the stitches are full X stitches, so it’s great for any level of cross-stitcher. This piece will be approximately 20×12.25 inches, based on a 14 count fabric (you can use any size you like, however) and the stitch count is 280×173.
