Work with a Pin-Up

pinup

Want to work with a pin-up? Cross-stitch pattern, that is. These kitschy pin-ups are some of my favorite retro illustrations, and my earliest cross-stitch pattern creations were based on famous pin-up art from the 1950’s.

You can find these and lots more saucy fabulousness at my Etsy shop – I have so many available, they even have their very own category!

Remember, all patterns are currently buy 3, get 3 FREE, so it’s a great time to put lots of unique projects in your hopper!

Happy stitching!

Freebie Friday – NYC Skyline Cross Stitch Pattern Download

NYC Skyline cross stitch pattern

Happy Friday! Every week I post a free pattern download. They’re available for 24 hours. After that, you can find them in my Etsy and eBay shops.

New York City has the most famous skyline in the world. When one of my Facebook followers recommended a city/skyline pattern for this week’s Friday Freebie, I knew just what to make. Hope you have as much fun stitching this one as I did making it.

This piece will be about 11.25 x 17.25 inches, based on an 18 count fabric (308×204 stitches). The chart also includes a list of the DMC floss needed for the project.

Miss this week’s freebie? Not to worry – you can grab a copy of this cross stitch pattern from my Etsy shop here, too!

Thanks so much, and happy stitching!

Fabric Blocks – the Wave of the Future!

Fun with fabric blocks

Cross-stitching, embroidering, quilting – all great, wonderful craft options. They are very time consuming, however, and I always have a dozen or so cross-stitch patterns in my hopper. Sometimes, I want to make a quick little something, either for my wall or to make as a gift. Enter, the fabric block.

If you haven’t worked with fabric blocks before, you are in for a treat! They are SO versatile and easy to work with. I make my own here at Bella Stitchery, and have several here in my Etsy shop under the “Fabric Block” category. I can also custom print designs or images for you as well. Fabric blocks are great to frame and hang as-is, or you can personalize them with your own special embroidery and embellishment. The sky is the limit!

They are fabulous to use on so many projects, too:

*pillows
*frames
*quilting
*messenger bags
*wall hangings
*scrapbooking
*embroidery

My fabric is all handmade, so they are dry-clean only. Feel free to contact me regarding custom orders and special prices for larger quantities.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy crafting!
